Paintless Dent Repair in Royse City for Dings and Hail
Spring storms roll across Rockwall County, and parking lots off FM 548 hand out door dings. If your paint isn't cracked, there's a good chance the dent can come out without a drop of new paint.
Pushing Metal, Not Paint
Paintless dent repair works the metal from behind. A technician reaches the back of the dent through an existing opening, then uses long steel rods to press it out a little at a time while reading the surface under a light. The factory paint never gets sanded or sprayed, so there's no color match to worry about and nothing to blend. It's the right fix for door dings, hail and soft dents where the paint is intact. It isn't the right fix for cracked paint, sharp creases or dents on a panel edge where the metal is doubled over. We'll look at yours and give you the honest call before anything else happens.
What a Paintless Job Covers
Here's what paintless work handles well, and the steps that keep the finish clean.
A qualify-or-not check
We inspect the paint for cracks and the dent for sharp creases first. If it won't come out clean, we tell you right then.
Door dings and cart dents
Small round dents from car doors and shopping carts are the most common job and usually the simplest.
Hail mapped dent by dent
After a storm we mark every dent on the hood, roof and trunk so the claim covers all of them.
Lamps and liners off for access
We reach the dent through openings already in the car, or by removing a tail lamp, liner or trim panel.
Steel rods and a line board
The board shows the dent as a bent reflection, and we press until those lines run straight again.
Front-side pulls where braces block
Where an inner brace is in the way, a tab is glued to the outside and the dent is pulled from the front.
Crowns flattened
Pushing a dent can leave a slight raised ring. We tap it down so the panel finishes flat.
Trim reinstalled, panel rechecked
Lamps, liners and trim go back on, and the panel gets a final look from every angle.
What Happens During a Paintless Repair
Read the dent
We put the dent under a reflection board and check the paint around it. You hear whether it qualifies and how involved it is. For hail, we count and map the dents. That map goes to your insurer if there's a claim.
Press it out in passes
We find the best route behind each dent and remove trim where needed. Then the metal is pressed out slowly in small passes. High spots are tapped down along the way. Glue tabs handle anything we can't reach from behind.
Check and reassemble
When the reflection lines run straight, the dent is done. Any trim or lamps we removed go back on. We look over the panel with you so you can judge the result for yourself.
Why Paintless Is Worth Asking About
Original paint beats any repaint
The paint your car left the factory with is the best it will ever have. Keeping it means no color mismatch years from now.
A smaller job overall
No sanding, filler or booth time means less work on the car when the dent qualifies.
We won't force it
If your dent can't come out clean, we'll say so and point you to conventional repair instead of leaving a half-fixed panel.
